Wrinkles and fine lines don’t always require surgery to correct. At Cope Cosmetic Dermatology, we offer a variety of non-surgical ways to combat aging signs.
What is Dysport?
Dysport® is an injectable treatment that can prevent or reduce aging signs. It’s considered a neuromodulator because it uses a special form of bacteria to block or relax muscle movements. This process can be beneficial because it can prevent the formation of dynamic wrinkles, or wrinkles that form because of repeated muscle movements. It can also relax furrows and tension that contribute to an aged or tired look.
Dysport is similar to BOTOX® and Jeuveau® but it can be a preferred brand for some patients because of its strength, duration, or dosage. Our experienced injectors can help you select the right injectable treatment for your exact cosmetic needs.

What Are the Benefits of Dysport?
Dysport is one of the most effective ways to reduce aging signs without surgery. It comes with no downtime and can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

- Brow lines
- Crow’s feet
- Bunny lines

What Can I Expect From Dysport Treatment?
Dysport can be administered during a quick, 15-minute appointment. To begin, you’ll meet with our experienced injectors to determine the right approach for your treatment. Your treatment area will be cleansed and sterilized for injection. Then, the product will be placed under the skin inside the facial muscles with a very fine needle. Once complete, you can return to your regular schedule.
Dysport Maintenance
You’ll be given detailed aftercare instructions by our team. It’s important to avoid laying down, bending over, or exercising after treatment since this can impact your results and cause complications. Make sure to also avoid touching or rubbing your face. You might experience minor redness, but this subsides quickly. You can prevent bruising by avoiding blood thinners like ibuprofen before and after your session.
Dysport can take about two weeks to produce results, at which point you can return for additional treatment as needed. You can expect your results to last for 3-6 months, and our team will ensure you understand when to return for your next appointment.

Lines & Wrinkles
What Are Lines and Wrinkles?
Lines and wrinkles are the most recognizable form of aging and are what most people think of when the term “aging” comes to mind. Lines and wrinkles are an inevitable part of aging skin but can be treated by reversing the effects or preventing them altogether (prejuvenation). In either case, surgery is not always necessary, and you can achieve excellent results with the help of a board-certified dermatologist.
Types of Lines and Wrinkles
Crow’s feet
Crow’s feet are fine lines that can appear at the corners of the eyes because of facial expressions like squinting or laughing. In many people, they’re one of the first places where fine lines appear.
Frown lines
Frown lines are lines or folds between the brows. They form when you frown or furrow your brow, causing a tired or frustrated appearance even if you don’t feel that way.
Brow lines
Some people simply have more expressive foreheads than others, which can contribute to the formation of creases and lines in the brow.
Smoker’s Lines
Fine lines around the lips can be the result of a lifetime of smoking or drinking through a straw. They’re often caused by repeated puckering of the lips, creating tiny creases around the mouth.
Sleep Lines
Sleep lines are caused by pressing your face into your pillow while sleeping. They tend to be vertical because they aren’t caused by natural expressions, but rather creasing that happens while you sleep.
